TERMS & CONDITIONS

Welcome to Fun Chorus! By booking a taster, attending a session, becoming a member, purchasing a PAYG session, buying merchandise or using our website, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

1. Membership

  • Fun Chorus membership is £28.50 per month, paid by Direct Debit.

  • There is no long-term contract and you can cancel your membership at any time.

  • Membership payments continue until your membership is cancelled.

  • Membership is personal to the member and cannot be transferred to another person.

  • Membership is paid monthly and is not a payment for individual sessions.

 

2. Direct Debit

  • Monthly membership payments are collected securely through Stripe using Bacs Direct Debit.

  • You are responsible for ensuring that your Direct Debit remains active and that there are sufficient funds available for your payment.

  • If a payment fails, we will contact you to arrange payment.

  • If you wish to cancel your Fun Chorus membership, please use our cancellation form so that we can update your membership and stop future payments.

  • Please give us at least 3 working days’ notice before your next scheduled payment. Payments due within 3 working days may already be processing.

  • Cancelling your Direct Debit through your bank does not automatically cancel your Fun Chorus membership. Please use our cancellation form if you wish to leave Fun Chorus.

 

3. PAYG (Pay As You Go)

  • PAYG attendance is available for people who do not wish to take out a monthly membership, subject to availability.

  • PAYG sessions currently cost £8.50 per session.

  • PAYG sessions are paid in person on the day of attendance.

  • PAYG payment is not taken in advance and there is no need to make an online payment or set up a recurring payment.

  • PAYG attendance does not create an ongoing payment commitment.

  • Participation in Fun Chorus performances and events is a benefit of membership and is not included with PAYG attendance.

 

4. Joining Fee and Songbooks

  • New members pay a one-off joining fee when joining Fun Chorus.

  • The joining fee covers the songbooks and other materials provided when you join.

  • Additional books or other items may be available to purchase separately.

 

5. Missed and Cancelled Sessions

  • Membership payments are not reduced or refunded when a member chooses not to attend a session.

  • Fun Chorus sessions may occasionally be cancelled because of severe weather, venue problems, illness or other circumstances beyond our control.

  • If we cancel a session, the monthly membership payment remains payable.

  • Where possible, members may be offered the opportunity to attend another Fun Chorus group instead, subject to availability.

  • We will let members know about session cancellations as soon as possible.

 

6. Performances and Events

  • Taking part in performances and events is optional for members.

  • Some performances or events may have an additional fee. The cost will be communicated to members before the event.

  • Performance and event fees are separate from the monthly membership.

  • Any requirements for taking part in a performance or event will be communicated in advance. Members booking an event will also be provided with the Fun Chorus Events Policy, which sets out the specific arrangements and requirements for taking part.

 

7. Merchandise

  • Merchandise carrying the Fun Chorus name, branding, web address or logo is supplied through Fun Chorus.

  • Please do not independently create, order or arrange clothing, bags or any other items carrying the Fun Chorus name, branding, web address or logo, either for yourself or for others.

  • Merchandise orders must be paid for when the order is placed.

  • Customers are responsible for checking the product details, including the size, colour and quantity, before placing an order.

  • We cannot accept responsibility for an incorrect order where the item supplied matches the order that was placed.

  • If an item is faulty or not as described, please contact us so that we can arrange an appropriate remedy.

  • Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory consumer rights.

 

8. Behaviour

  • Fun Chorus is a welcoming and respectful community.

  • Members and participants are expected to treat other members, Fun Chorus leaders, volunteers and venue staff with respect.

  • We reserve the right to end a person’s membership or refuse future attendance if their behaviour is seriously inappropriate or negatively affects the wellbeing of the Fun Chorus community.

 

9. Safeguarding and Personal Responsibility

  • Fun Chorus aims to provide a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.

  • Members and participants are responsible for their own health, wellbeing and personal belongings while attending Fun Chorus sessions and events.

  • If you require support or reasonable adjustments to participate, please contact us privately in advance so that we can discuss what arrangements may be possible.

  • Our Safeguarding Policy applies to all Fun Chorus members and participants.

 

10. Privacy

  • Personal information provided to Fun Chorus will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

  • Payment information is processed securely by our payment providers. Fun Chorus does not store full bank or card details.

 

11. Changes to These Terms

  • We may update these Terms & Conditions when our services or payment arrangements change.

  • The latest version will always be available on the Fun Chorus website.
